Keyword Generator

Turn one seed keyword into 50 related keyword ideas with search volume, CPC and difficulty

English-language Google results. Up to 50 ideas per search.

How it works

No black box. Here's exactly what Keyword Generator checks.

  1. 1

    You enter a seed

One word or phrase that describes the topic, plus the country you want search data for.

  2. 2

    We ask DataForSEO

Their keyword database returns up to 50 searches that contain your seed, from Google data for that country.

  3. 3

You get the metrics as returned

Monthly volume, difficulty, CPC, competition and intent. When the provider has no number, the table says so instead of guessing.

Why this matters

Most pages that get search traffic rank for many longer, more specific searches, not one head term. Starting from real search data instead of guesses shows you which phrasings people actually use and which ones are realistic for a site your size.

  • Longer phrases usually have lower volume and lower difficulty, which makes them the realistic first targets for a newer site.
  • Intent tells you what kind of page can rank: a guide for informational searches, a product or comparison page for commercial ones.
  • Group close variations onto one page rather than writing a page for each.

Where do the volumes and difficulty scores come from?

From DataForSEO's keyword database, built on Google data. Volume is a monthly average. Difficulty is DataForSEO's 0 to 100 estimate of how hard the top 10 is to break into. Other tools compute difficulty differently, so compare keywords within one tool.

Why do some cells say "Not reported"?

Because the provider returned no value for that keyword. We never fill a gap with 0 or with a different metric, since a fake 0 looks exactly like a real one.

Which countries are supported?

The United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and India, all with English-language results. More markets need language-specific data and are part of a CrawlTide project.

How do I pick which keywords to target?

Start with keywords whose intent matches a page you can build, whose difficulty fits your site's current authority, and that have enough volume to matter. Then check the live results page for each one before you commit.

Is there a limit?

Yes, a small per-visitor limit and a shared daily budget, because each fresh lookup costs us money. Repeated searches for the same seed are served from a cache for up to two weeks.

Want the full story across every page?

The Keyword Generator gives you a list once. CrawlTide tracks where your site ranks for the keywords you choose and shows which topics your content does not cover yet.

No credit card. Free tier covers a small site end-to-end.
