How backlink sync works
Trigger a sync
Click sync from your project's backlinks page. CrawlTide calls the DataForSEO API to pull your current backlink profile.
Data is stored and compared
New backlinks are added. Links that no longer appear are marked as lost with a timestamp. Never deleted.
Summary stats are calculated
Total backlinks, referring domains, dofollow ratio, anchor text distribution, and more are computed and stored for historical tracking.
1-hour cooldown prevents churn
A sync guard prevents repeated API calls. Each sync costs roughly $0.07 in API fees.
Available on Standard and above
Standard: up to 500 backlinks. Pro: 5,000. Enterprise: 50,000. All plans include referring domains, lost link tracking, and CSV export.
